Well folks, it’s Monday.
If you consider Thursday night part of the hockey weekend, the Bruins had themselves a pretty darn good weekend.
Notable achievements include:
- Two wins
- Jack Studnicka’s first NHL goal
- Craig Smith’s first goal as a Bruin
- Even-strength goals galore
NOT BAD.
Additionally, the Bruins got two solid games in a row from Trent Frederic, who has suddenly established himself as a bit of a fan favorite.
It’s early, but he’s rapidly gone from a “why did they pick him?” to a “they’ve gotta find a way to keep him in the lineup.”
Needless to say, Bruins fans are likely heading into this week feeling a lot better than they were on Tuesday/Wednesday of last week.
The B’s are off again today, with back-to-back games against the Pittsburgh Penguins coming up this week. After that, it’ll be a rendezvous with ol’ buddy Zdeno Chara and the Capitals.
Easy week, eh?
Today’s highlight
Entertaining guy, that Trent Frederic.
