Morning Skate: First day jitters

Monday!

After a nice stretch of holidays, short weeks, and long weekends, we now have...January. Just January. Catch the fever!

At least training camp starts today, right? The Bruins will be back together as a group today for the first time since their bubble burst back in the summer, with Group A hitting the ice at 10:30 this morning.

The B’s released their roster Sunday morning, though it leaked before that. There are plenty of young guys who have big opportunities ahead of them this season, so getting off to a good start in camp is essential.

It’s weird to think about, but the season actually kicks off a week from Thursday. For so long, it seemed like we were in limbo, and them BAM. The season is here.

As Sky mentioned in his camp roster post, be on the lookout for guys signing PTOs or non-roster invitees to training camp. Given the B’s needs on defense, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a guy or two brought in.
