Bruins unveil TD Bank as their helmet ad sponsor

It doesn’t really look that bad.

It’s the news you’ve all been waiting for: the Bruins have unveiled their helmet sponsor!

Why yes, that’d TD Bank, also known as Toronto-Dominion Bank, also known as the same company that owns the naming rights to TD Garden.

Hey, at least they’re keeping it all in the family.

I am disappointed that the B’s didn’t go full stereotype and have Dunkin’ as the helmet sponsor, but there’s always next time.

Truthfully, these don’t look too bad, though the addition of green to black, gold, and white is a little displeasing to the eye.

Still, these ads hardly dominate your vision when looking at a player as they’re tucked away quite nicely on the helmets.

Purists won’t like them, but my guess is that people will get used to it shortly and forget they’re even there, similar to ads on the boards or those new behind-the-net ice ads.

Of course, people forgetting those ads are there kind of defeats the point of ads, but I digress.

Your thoughts?
