FOLKS. It’s Friday. You made it. No small feat during a week like this.
We’ve also reached the waning days of training camp, as a week from now you’ll have plenty of hot takes after the first game of the season.
Don’t tire yourself out too early with the takes, we’ve got plenty of hockey to cover.
The big news from yesterday, of course, was Patrice Bergeron being named the Bruins’ 20th captain. The move was arguably the least surprising move in the history of mankind, but it’s still cool anyways.
Bergeron played his first regular season game as a Bruin on October 8, 2003. That is more than 17 years ago.
17 years!!!!!
Think of how many things have changed over the past 17 years. Hell, the name of TD Garden has changed approximately 17 times during that span.
Yet through all of those years, Bergeron has been here, a mainstay on the Bruins.
We are a lucky bunch.
Today’s highlight
He does it all, that Patrice Bergeron.
Today’s discussion topic
What’s your favorite Patrice Bergeron moment? Excluding Game 7 vs. Toronto.
