Happy Friday, folks. Welcome to October.

The Bruins’ first preseason home game is in the books, with a couple more to go.

It was nice to see more regulars in the lineup last night, and (as far as we can tell) no one got hurt, so...a win.

Jake DeBrusk continued his hot start to the preseason, and guys like Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, Taylor Hall, and David Pastrnak haven’t missed a beat.

Erik Haula and Nick Foligno looked pretty good too; Trent Frederic is a guy who seemed to have a tough night, among others.

After the Bruins-Flyers game aired on TNT, the network covered the Golden Knights-Kings game being played in...Utah?

Yes, Los Angeles and Las Vegas headed a couple states over and played a game in Salt Lake City, which is pretty cool. New markets, right?

The arena set up was pretty wild, kind of like the Islanders’ short-lived stint in Brooklyn. Still, it’s preseason...why not do something different?

Today’s discussion topic

Two of them:

  • If you went to the game last night, how did you find the whole COVID-related experience?
  • Your thoughts on the league’s decision to crack down on crosschecking?
