The Boston Bruins open their season tonight against the Dallas Stars in Boston and the lineup is set - including the new combos of the third and fourth lines.
Head Coach Bruce Cassidy said yesterday that Jeremy Swayman would get the start in net for the opener.
With Curtis Lazar out, Karson Kuhlman will take the wing on the fourth line.
The team held an optional morning skate today, but have practiced the same lines and defensive pairings over the last week and a half. Based on those practices, this is how the lineup is projected to look:
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Taylor Hall - Charlie Coyle - Craig Smith
Jake DeBrusk - Erik Haula - Nick Foligno
Trent Frederic - Tomas Nosek - Kuhlman
Defensive pairings:
Derek Forbort - Charlie McAvoy
Mike Reilly - Brandon Carlo
Matt Grzelcyk - Connor Clifton

For the Stars, Braden Holtby will get his second start. Head Coach Rick Bowness also added John Klingberg will be unavailable. Klingberg left Thursday’s game with a lower-body injury.
