Thursday!
The B’s looked a little discombobulated in Philly...you know, kind of like a team that has a bunch of new players and has only played twice in about two weeks.
Encouragingly, the Bruins came back from down 3-1 to tie the game; frustratingly, they then allowed three goals in a row in the third to lose.
To add injury to insult, Nick Foligno left the game with an upper-body injury and didn’t return. Given that there were durability concerns about him prior to the season, it’s not exactly the best sign.
The defense corps was a concern heading into this season too, and after a relatively stout start against Dallas, last night’s game will do little to ease those concerns.
Still, it’s Game 2 out of 82, right? Maybe too soon to panic...but where’s the fun in that?
Today’s discussion topic
Give me one encouraging thing and one discouraging thing from last night.
