The Boston Bruins will face the Florida Panthers tonight and there are a few shakeups throughout the lineup up front.
With Craig Smith ruled out on the road trip and Curtis Lazar likely ready for tonight, it looks like we’ll see Jack Studnicka in that top-six position.
Studnicka moved up to center Taylor Hall and Charlie Coyle during today’s morning skate in Florida. With the shift, Tomas Nosek moved down to fourth-line center.
Lazar slotted back in on the fourth line’s right wing and “should be good” for the game, Bruce Cassidy said. If for some reason he’s not, Oskar Steen would round out the bottom six forwards. It was expected Lazar would make his season debut on this road trip.
Karson Kuhlman has also been bumped up to the third line in all the shuffling around.
Defensive pairings remain the same.
Here’s how the lineup is projected to look:
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Hall - Studnicka - Coyle
Jake DeBrusk - Erik Haula - Kuhlman
Trent Frederic - Nosek - Lazar/Steen
Defensive pairings:
Matt Grzelcyk - Charlie McAvoy
Mike Reilly - Brandon Carlo
Derek Forbort - Connor Clifton
Linus Ullmark gets the start
