Morning Skate: Welcome to Slovember

It is a new month.

Nah, just kidding.

(Unfortunately, after a hot start, my man Peter Cehlarik has cooled off considerably in the KHL. Old friend Ryan Spooner has 22 points in 25 games though, so that’s cool.)

Welcome to November, hope your Halloween was a good one — in the Boston area, it was a beautiful day after a stretch of storms and rain.

The B’s had themselves a good weekend, with an exciting 3-2 win over Florida on Saturday.

One of the hallmarks of the win, aside from all Bruins goals being scored by Charlies who went to Boston University, was the line shuffling done by Bruce Cassidy.

The first line was broken up, the second line was broken up, chaos reigns. It’s not hard to see why Cassidy did it, as the offense wasn’t exactly humming.

Still, some tinkering is good early in the season, as you want to see what you really have in this overhauled forward corps.

We’re back in the mini doldrums again, as the Bruins won’t play again until Thursday.

Until then...what’s on tap?

Today’s discussion topic

With all of the line juggling, do you think there are more permanent changes needed? What would your new top nine look like?
