The Boston Bruins host the New Jersey Devils tonight at the TD Garden. Things will look a little different throughout the lineup as adjustments have been made to combat injuries and spark offense.
Bruce Cassidy shook up practice lines this week with Jake DeBrusk moving up and David Pastrnak sliding down in hopes of helping DeBrusk and David Krejci find more success (and hopefully their first goals of the season).
Yesterday, Cassidy also switched around the combinations of his bottom-six forwards, swapping Trent Frederic and Anders Bjork.
Frederic looks like he’ll return to play with Charlie Coyle and Craig Smith after spending some games on the fourth line.
The B’s blue line is also being adjusted as Matt Grzelcyk (still out with a lower-body injury) and Jakub Zboril (upper-body) are out tonight.
Here are the lines and pairings from yesterday’s practice.
Cassidy did confirm Jaroslav Halak will get the start.
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - DeBrusk
Nick Ritchie - Krejci - Pastrnak
Frederic - Coyle - Smith
Bjork - Sean Kuraly - Chris Wagner
Defensive pairings:
Jeremy Lauzon - Charlie McAvoy
John Moore - Brandon Carlo
Connor Clifton - Kevan Miller
Halak will start in net
