Morning Skate: Take three

A win!

Well folks, at this point, I think it’s safe to say that the Bruins are so good that they feel like they need to give the Capitals a three-goal cushion to feel challenged.

There can be no other explanation.

It was a good win for the Bruins last night, albeit not a great start. Still, it’s all about how you finish, and scoring five straight goals on the road against the Capitals isn’t anything to complain about.

Last night’s game had a bit of the familiar (David Pastrnak scoring goals) and the unfamiliar (Zdeno Chara scoring AGAINST the Bruins), but ultimately, it was a good sign that the Bruins were able to right the ship.

Frankly, the B’s did more than right the ship in the latter half of the third period: they took control and ran right over the Caps.

Good stuff.

Today’s highlight

Trent Frederic will continue to endear himself to Bruins fans with bouts like that.

How much snow did you get? The snow kind of fizzled Monday night on the South Shore, and we only had about an inch of slush as I turned in last night.
