Tuesday!
The Bruins remain off, and we all remain basking in glorious 90s glow of Sunday night.
One of the bigger stories in NHL circles right now (aside from Artemi Panarin’s situation) is the fact that Jeff Skinner is in the doghouse in Buffalo.
The Sabres are off to a tough start, and are currently last in the East Division.
It would appear that head coach Ralph Krueger is pointing at least one finger at Skinner, who was a healthy scratch last night against the New York Islanders.
Skinner has just a single assist in 14 games so far this season. That assist game in his 5th game of the season, and he’s gone pointless in nine consecutive games since then.
It’s worth noting that Skinner currently carries a cap hit of 9 MILLION DOLLARS, which is not exactly a small chunk of change.
He’s in the second year of an eight-year deal too. Chances are he eventually snaps out of it (he’s too good to be super bad for long), but...yikes. Tough situation up in Buffalo.
