It would appear that the B's think they need reinforcements on the blue line after two blowout losses.
BOS claims Tinordi
— Elliotte Friedman (@FriedgeHNIC) February 27, 2021
The team confirmed the news in a press release a few minutes ago.
Tinordi would be defenseman Jarred Tinordi, who was waived by the Nashville Predators yesterday.
Tinordi was a healthy scratch in the three Predators games prior to his waiver placement.
He just turned 29 last week. He's 6' 6" and a left shot, an area of need for the B's right now.
Tinordi isn't exactly an offensive powerhouse, with just 11 points in 88 career NHL games.
The Bruins will likely hope he can bring some stability to the back-end while they get healthy, but we'll see what he can bring.
Tinordi carries a cap hit of $700,000.
He's had a bit of a disappointing career thus far, as he was a first round draft pick back in 2010 but hasn't really been able to be an NHL regular.
Prior to landing in Nashville, Tinordi played for the Montreal Canadians and Arizona Coyotes.
