Morning Skate: Accidental vacation

Monday!

The Super Bowl was last night. I hope you’re happy with the results.

We’re in an odd spot in the season for the Bruins right now, as the schedule features so many “game-off-game-off-game” stretches with limited off days.

However, the B’s will have four full days off in between games due to the Buffalo cancellations, which would be a welcome respite in the latter months of the season, but probably isn’t as needed when we’re only 20% through.

Still, I’m sure the players appreciate any rest they can get during a weird season.

We’ll have a full Providence Bruins preview coming for you later this morning, as the Prov-borough Bruins got off to a great start with a 4-1 win on Friday.

Jeremy Swayman, who was profiled in this great post by Cam last week, earned his first AHL win. Good stuff.
