Bruins to practice tonight, game tomorrow appears to be on

We’ll see!

Boston Bruins Practice

It appears that the “will they or won’t they?” question about Thursday night’s Bruins-Islanders game is trending toward “they will.”

The Bruins, through their communications department, announced Wednesday afternoon that the team planned to practice on Wednesday night at 7 PM, a pretty wild time for an NHL practice.

The team will follow that practice with a media availability, so we’ll likely know more about who’s available for the Islanders game, if it ends up being played.

It seems a little silly to add the “if” caveat at this point, as all signs point to them playing, but hey, you never know.

The fact that practice is being held tonight is a good sign, as it seems to confirm that either the guys on the COVID-19 list have been cleared, the positive tests/flagged results haven’t spread further, or both.

As you may remember, part of the COVID-19 protocols involved the players staying away from team facilities, so if they’re coming back tonight, it should mean only good things.

Ultimately, we’ll know more later, but at this point, it seems like a safe bet that the Islanders and some form of the Bruins will play tomorrow night...in front of fans, no less!
