The good news: Tuukka Rask was back in net tonight, making his first start since March 7 after missing six games due to injury!
The bad news: Tuukka Rask didn’t finish the game tonight!
The Bruins netminder saved all six shots he faced in the first period, but didn’t return for the start of the second.
Jaroslav Halak replaced Rask in net, and the Bruins announced shortly thereafter that Rask wouldn’t return due to an upper-body injury.
There wasn’t anything that jumped out as being the obvious source of the injury in that first period, though one eagle-eyed viewer noticed that Rask appeared to be in some discomfort as he left the ice.
noticed Rask skating gingerly to the tunnel at the end of the first... not great! https://t.co/93tV8nZ49j pic.twitter.com/7xFAfRJlXt

The way he’s skating, it almost looks like he’s favoring his lower body...but that could just be due to something bothering his back/shoulder that’s making him skate weird.
Keep in mind, however, that I am not a doctor.
It’s unlikely that the Bruins will provide much more information post-game aside from “upper-body injury,” but we’ll keep you posted.
