NHL: New Jersey Devils at Boston Bruins Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

Monday!

Folks, another week is upon is, and it’s another week of frustration with YOUR Boston Bruins.

It wasn’t exactly a stellar weekend for the B’s. On Saturday, they didn’t thump the Buffalo Sabres as thoroughly as some fans would have liked, then on Sunday, they failed to score (again) and in a shutout loss to the New Jersey Devils (again).

Good times.

Ultimately, the Bruins were thisclose a few times on Sunday evening, but nothing came to fruition.

As Bruce Cassidy said after the game about some of the non-goals, the Bruins aren’t getting a ton of puck luck right now.

When you have pucks getting kicked microscopically off the goal line and guys like David Krejci shooting ten full percentage points below their career mark, it’s hard to discount puck luck as a factor.

However, the Bruins’ offensive problems extend far beyond a friendly bounce here or there, and they’re running out of time to figure it out.

Were it not for the Philadelphia Flyers’ plummeting form as of late, the B’s would likely find themselves outside of a playoff spot, not where you’d have expected them to be as April 1 approaches.

Feels like a good time to watch these again!
