Minutes ago, the Bruins announced that Charlie Coyle would not be playing in tonight’s game against the Washington Capitals due to COVID Protocols.

As for what that means to the lineup, there has been no announcement made yet on who will replace him. Coyle is the second player on the B’s to get dinged for the ‘Rona, as Karson Kuhlman began the season with it. COVID testing has been a round-the-clock measure for the league, and has especially been a major concern in the East Division, where at one point the Devils shaved several days off the B’s schedule by failing to contain an ongoing outbreak that has since been handled.
Whether or not it’s a false positive or not, we wish Coyle all the best and a full, safe recovery.
