A win is a win!

NHL: New Jersey Devils at Boston Bruins Paul Rutherford-USA TODAY Sports

It is Wednesday, my dudes.

And it is VICTORY WEDNESDAY.

Yes, we’ve reached that point in the Bruins season where it’s time to celebrate a shootout win over the vaunted New Jersey Devils.

It might be a stretch to call last night’s game a must-win contest, as things haven’t been THAT bad lately.

However, given the general state of angst among the fan base, another loss to the not-very-good Devils would have been tough to swallow.

To the Bruins’ credit, they managed to make a solid comeback and win in a shootout, flipping the vibes entirely. THE BRUINS ARE A JUGGERNAUT AGAIN!

Well, you get the point.

While last night’s win is appreciated, it begs the question: why did the Bruins wait until the third period to start playing?

Still, we move on. The B’s have the Penguins up next, and Pittsburgh is the team in front of the Bruins in the standings.

The margin has swollen to a surprising seven points, though the Penguins have four games in hand.

What’s on tap for today?
