Morning Skate: Rough stuff

Entertaining, to say the least.

Thursday! That certainly was an entertaining game last night, eh?

A few goals, a few big saves, some questionable stickwork, some anger...something for everyone!

Last night’s game is one of those that should be a good litmus test for this year’s condensed schedule.

The game featured plenty of heat, and with the same two teams getting right back at it tomorrow, there hasn’t exactly been a ton of time for things to cool down.

What Mad Lad thing will Trent Frederic do this time? Only time will tell.

Overall, a pretty decent hockey game last night though. The Bruins took some time to get going, but it certainly wasn’t a horrendous effort.

Tuukka Rask was spectacular, but the move by Jakub Vrana in the shootout was just a tiny bit more spectacular.

One thing that stood out: the Bruins were a mess during overtime.

There were at least two horrific line changes that led directly to Caps chances, along with a number of other sloppy plays. Ultimately, it didn’t cost them, but...something to work on.

What’s on tap for today?

Today’s highlight

He’s been at it since Day 1, that Trent Frederic.
