The Boston Bruins will be without Matt Grzelcyk tonight against the Washington Capitals and will see Jarred Tinordi and Jack Ahcan sub in to adjust for blue line injuries and maintenance.
Yesterday, Bruce Cassidy announced Kevan Miller would not be available for tonight’s game as he would be given the second half of the back-to-back off to not overwork his knee. But that came on the heels of the team losing Grzelcyk after the first period to an upper-body injury.
With Grzelcyk out, Tinordi and Ahcan will fill out the defensive pairings. Ahcan has only played one game this season and that was on March 18. He logged 17:55 minutes with three shots and two blocks. Tinordi’s last game was April 3. In 17 games, he has yet to register a point.
Lines will remain the same and Dan Vladar gets the start in net.
Here’s how everything is projected to look tonight.
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron – Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie – David Krejci – David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk – Charlie Coyle – Karson Kuhlman
Anton Blidh – Sean Kuraly - Chris Wagner
Defensive pairings:

Jakub Zboril – Steven Kampfer
Jeremy Lauzon - Ahcan
