Well folks, it appears that the Bruins didn’t like their big Sunday night headline being “Bruins lose 8-1 to Washington.”
After first acquiring Mike Reilly from the Ottawa Senators, reports indicate that the Bruins are acquiring Taylor Hall from the Buffalo Sabres.
It first started with Darren Dreger, who noted that the Bruins were reportedly acquiring forward Curtis Lazar from Buffalo, but potentially as part of a bigger deal.
Told Curtis Lazar is going to Boston from the Sabres. Reason to believe this is part of a bigger deal. Awaiting word on Hall. Stay tuned.

That was followed up by a lot of wild speculation on Twitter, until we got this a few minutes ago:
Taylor Hall to BOS

We’ll throw in the obvious “it’s not official until it’s official” caveats, but where there’s this much smoke, there’s almost certainly fire.
If this trade comes to fruition, it’s the surest sign yet that the Bruins are, in fact, Going For It, throwing caution to the wind and pushing all their chips to the middle of the table.
Stay tuned, we’ll update this post as news comes in.
Update (12:03 AM):
Further confirmation, with the cost:
Confirming. Hall and Lazar to Boston for Bjork and 2nd round draft pick.

Update (12:17 AM):
While Hall is an unrestricted free agent at season’s end, the day-to-day salary cap still plays a role in what moves you can make.
To make this trade work, Buffalo has apparently decided to eat some money.
Not surprisingly, but the Sabres retained 50 percent of Taylor Hall's $8 M salary/AAV to facilitate the trade
