Morning Skate: New beginnings

A win is a win.

It is Wednesday, my dudes...and it’s safe to say that the Bruins are an unstoppable machine once again.

OK, maybe not...but hey, two points = two points. Given the bloodbath we saw on Sunday night, any kind of win will do.

Last night’s game was being set up for the perfect ending, as Taylor Hall had a chance to win it in OT on a 2-on-1, then Anders Bjork had a chance to win it in OT on a 2-on-1 that turned into a Bjork-on-the-goalie.

Neither scored, and we’re left ruing the takes that never were.

Nice goal by DeBrusk to win it, but I’m sure the comments will be that Derbusk can only do it when theirs no one playing d!

Overall, the three new guys acquitted themselves fairly well. Mike Reilly was probably the most consistently impressive, though Lazar was solid and Hall came on stronger as the game continued.

Building blocks, folks.

Today’s highlight

Very on-brand for Milan Lucic to get in a fight in his 1,000th game. It was the right decision to deal him, but Peak Lucic sure was fun to watch.
