From the Farm: 2021/2022 Outlook

In this post, I will be creating a Bruins roster based on three factors. One, all UFAs do not re-sign. Two, all RFAs re-sign. Three, no trades or free agent signings occur. This process is meant to determine how reliable our non roster players are to the team’s future and what the team’s biggest needs are.

Due to the expansion draft, I will also exclude from my roster who I would leave unprotected and let Seattle take, both on forward and defence, even though only one player will be taken.

David Krejci, Taylor Hall, Sean Kuraly, Anton Blidh, Greg McKegg, Paul Carey, Mike Reilly, Kevan Miller, Steven Kampfer, Jarred Tinordi, Tuukka Rask, Jaroslav Halak

Thoughts

How does this team look to you? What are the biggest strengths and weaknesses that you see?

The RD remains strong, but the team needs a veteran LD to help the young players. The forwards need to improve their middle six and there is also a need for a veteran goalie to carry most of the games while the young goalies continue to develop.

If likes of Hall, Krejci and Rask are not re-signed, that leaves the team with a great deal of cap space to fill these voids.

Share what you think we should use from the farm to fill the gaps in this team left by UFAs.
