Bruins sign Brady Lyle to ELC worth $800,000 AAV

The Providence pointgetting blueliner now has a chance to play for the big squad

The Bruins are gearing up for three straight games against the Sabres, and after the chaos of yesterdays matinee, it never hurts to get a producing player in the minors on a decent deal! You never know who might need to be mended.

So the Bruins went ahead and gave Brady Lyle an Entry Level Contract worth $800,000 for the next three years.

The 6'3, ex-Owen Sound Attack defender was signed as a free agent to the P-Bruins in April of last year, and has had quite an involved season, like most prospects have thanks to the pandemic. He started his season in Slovakia with Detva HC, and then came back to the Baby B's to promptly tear up the division, nabbing 12 points in 19 games, and currently tied in the league lead for goals scored by defensemen.

Of course...before we get overexcited, i should probably remind you that Providence has only had to play two (now up to three) teams all year, and that is increasingly looking like that is going to be the case for the rest of the season as information on the AHL Playoffs is unusually scarce, if not non-existent.

Oh well. Just means he can be a contributing member of the taxi squad once the NHL playoffs begin! Or when the Bruins need another defenseman!

Let's all give a warm welcome to Brady to the Black and Gold! Again!
