One guy back, one guy out.
The Bruins got a bit of good news this morning, with Jake DeBrusk cleared to return to action after an extended COVID-19 absence.
Shortly thereafter, Bruce Cassidy said that goalie Jaroslav Halak had a positive test for COVID-19, meaning he’s out tonight and away from the team pending further testing.
It remains to be seen whether or not Halak’s test is a false positive; if not, you have to think more positives are coming.
Dan Vladar will start tonight. If Halak is still out tomorrow, the Bruins will either have to lean on Vladar for a back-to-back or turn to Jeremy Swayman for his NHL debut.
Good stuff.
Cassidy also noted that Kevan Miller will likely be available to play tomorrow, pending how he feels prior to the game.
Barring further shake-ups, here’s what to expect tonight:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie - David Krejci - David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk - Charlie Coyle - Zach Senyshn/Anders Bjork
Trent Frederic - Sean Kuraly - Karson Kuhlman
Matt Grzelcyk - Charlie McAvoy
Jeremy Lauzon - Connor Clifton
Jakub Zboril - Steven Kampfer
Vladar
See ya tonight!
