In the first half of the Flyers’ game tonight, Patrice Bergeron and linemates Craig Smith and Brad Marchand were giving Philly fits in the offensive zone.
What might’ve seemed like Marchand getting pinned out near the blue line was anything but, as he put the puck in his feet, cut back on Philadelphia defenseman Justin Braun. A long shot on net bounced off Flyers goalie Carter Hart, and it landed at Bergeron’s feet, where he made a great move to get the puck wide of Hart, and tapped it home.

Congratulations, oh Captain our Captain!
Bergeron is the fourth Bruin to achieve the feat, after Jon Bucyk, Phil Esposito and Ray Bourque.
Here’s to nine hundred more!
(Wouldn’t it be nice if he played that long...)
