The Boston Bruins are set to face off against the Washington Capitals tonight with Jeremy Swayman making his second-straight start.
Swayman had an impressive debut on Tuesday, making 40 saves in the win. He registered a .952 save percentage and faced 25 shots in the second period alone with loose defensive support during the middle frame.
Lines and defensive pairings look the same from last game, with the only adjustment possibly coming on the fourth line.
Trent Frederic’s status for the game is questionable, Bruce Cassidy said, as he has a non-COVID related illness. Anton Blidh will fill in for Frederic if he isn’t ready by game time.
Charlie McAvoy will not play tonight. He’s back in Boston and feels better, but Cassidy said he won’t be ready to go until likely Sunday.
Here’s how lines and defensive pairings looked from morning skate.
Lines:
Brad Marchand – Patrice Bergeron – Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie – David Krejci – David Pastrnak
Jake DeBrusk – Charlie Coyle – Karson Kuhlman
