I think it’s safe to say that Taylor Hall’s first few weeks as a Boston Bruin have been a success.
In 16 games, Hall has eight goals and six assists. He’s found excellent chemistry with David Krejci (who also has to be thrilled to have a guy like Hall on his line), and generally has gushed about how happy he is to be a Bruin.
Good times.
All of this had Bruins fans talking about keeping the Hall party going by signing him to a contract extension, something that would absolutely never happen at this point in the season but is fun to talk about anyways.
Yesterday, Cam Neely had a media availability and reasonably sounded a “hold your horses” note.
“We’re going to continue to see how things go with the playoffs here,” said Neely of a new deal. “I think we’d like to get something done...that remains to be seen, but that’s our hopes.”
Don’t buy high, right?
