We've known for a few days that Game 1 is on Saturday night, but now we've got a full schedule for the first round!

The NHL released its full (subject to change) playoff schedule this morning, pending how the rest of the games out west shake out.

But you're only here for the Bruins! Here's what we have to look forward to:

Bruins Playoff Schedule

  • Game 1: Saturday, May 15, 7:15 PM, NBC, Sportsnet, CBC, TVA
  • Game 2: Monday, May 17, 7:30 PM, NBCSN, Sportsnet, CBC, TVA
  • Game 3: Wednesday, May 19, 6:30 PM, NBCSN, Sportsnet, TVA
  • Game 4: Friday, May 21, 6:30 PM, NBCSN, Sportsnet, TVA
  • Game 5: Sunday, May 23, TBD
  • Game 6: Tuesday, May 25, TBD
  • Game 7: Thursday, May 27, TBD

Interestingly, the Bruins' first two home games will be played at 6:30 on weeknights, which is an odd time.

Still, Friday night playoff hockey in Boston is pretty cool.

It's unclear where NESN fits in all of this. In past years, NESN carried all of the first-round games.

There was no mention of local affiliates in the NHL's news release, but it seems a fair bet that all of the games (with the exception, maybe, of Saturday's nationally televised Game 1) will be available on NESN.

UPDATE (1 PM): A release from the Bruins confirmed that Games 2,3, and 4 will be on NESN; it's fair to assume 6 and 7 will be as well. Game 1 is an NBC exclusive in the States.

All games will be broadcast on 98.5 The Sports Hub.

So there you have it...mark your calendars!
