The Boston Bruins are back in town for Game 3 of the first round against the Washington Capitals and Bruce Cassidy will roll out the same lineup from Monday’s overtime win.
Connor Clifton will remain on the third pairing with Kevan Miller, as Jeremy Lauzon is still sidelined with an undisclosed injury after blocking a shot in Game 1.
Tuukka Rask will also start in net.
Here’s how the lineup is projected to look:
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Taylor Hall - David Krejci - Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie - Charlie Coyle - Jake DeBrusk
Sean Kuraly - Curtis Lazar - Chris Wagner
Defensive pairings:
Matt Grzelcyk - Charlie McAvoy
Mike Reilly - Brandon Carlo
Clifton - Miller
Rask gets the start
As for the Capitals, there could be some changes on their front, per reports. Evgeny Kuznetsov, Lars Eller, Ilya Samsonov and Connor McMichael, who was just recalled from the AHL’s Hershey Bears, participated in today’s skate.
Kuznetsov and Samsonov have recently been removed from the COVID protocols list, so it’s unlikely they will play tonight, and today was likely about getting them conditioned to return later.
Craig Anderson will likely get the start for the Caps, as Vitek Vanecek remained off the ice. T.J. Oshie was also absent from their practice.
