Well, that ended up being pretty fun after all, eh?
Maybe it wasn’t super fun the entire time, but all’s well that ends well.
The Bruins are up in the series, two games to one, with Game 4 coming up on Friday evening at 6:30(ish) PM.
Last night’s game seemed to be a few different games in one: the Bruins dominated at times, the Caps dominated at times, good times were had by all.
To be honest, after the Bruins ran roughshod over the Caps for most of the first OT, I was convinced the Caps would win it on a cheap one in the last couple of minutes of the first overtime.
Thankfully, it wasn’t meant to be.
Overall, it’s hard to say that the Bruins didn’t deserve the win last night. While the Caps had impressive stretches (particularly after Brad Marchand’s tying goal), the Bruins were by far the better side in both overtimes.
While the game-winning goal came on an “I got it/you take it” miscommunication, Craig Smith deserves credit for putting on the pressure that made that a play a tough call for the Caps.
The best part? We get to do it all over again tomorrow!
An aside: there were more than 1,000 comments in last night’s game thread. 1,000! That’s a lot of takes, folks.
We all appreciate your views, comments, and participation - keep up the good work.

This was the talk of Twitter after the game, with someone pointing out that Alex Ovechkin appears to be yelling “blyat,” with is a four-letter expletive in Russian.
Whether he was yelling at fellow Russian Ilya Samsonov, defenseman Jeff Schultz, himself, or the team in general, he was big mad.

Give me one reason to be optimistic and one reason to be pessimistic after last night’s game.
