Well folks, I don’t know about you, but heading into the second round is a pretty decent way to start a new week!
If you think about it, it’s pretty wild how much can change in a series over the course of a week.
A week ago this morning, we were still ruminating on the Bruins’ Game 1 OT loss; a week later, the Bruins have won four games in a row and we’re thinking about the Penguins and the Islanders.
Good times.
Also, the weather in Boston was summer-esque this weekend. I went to the beach Sunday and got sunburned, so the summer is officially upon us.
The Bruins are in a holding pattern for now, as the Penguins and Islanders have at least two games left before their series can come to an end.
Game 5 of that series is tonight in Pittsburgh. Guess we all have a reason to tune in now!
Today’s highlight
Listen, I love David Pastrnak. He’s the most creative offensive player the Bruins have had in decades. He’s electric.
But what are the Capitals doing on this play?????
Today’s discussion topic
Who’s your MVP for Round One? I think I’d go with Charlie McAvoy, not due to his point total but due to his overall impact on the series.
