The Boston Bruins are back for their final homestand of the regular season and the first of two nights against the New York Rangers and there are slight adjustments to the forwards group.
Charlie Coyle is out with an upper-body injury and is “day-to-day” right now, Bruce Cassidy said. They’ll see if he practices tomorrow and go from there in regards to this weekend’s game.
Jake DeBrusk will shift up to the right wing on the third line to fill in for Coyle. Karson Kuhlman will also draw back in to round out the fourth line.
The blue line looks the same from Tuesday, as Brandon Carlo is still on that second pairing with Matt Grzelcyk.
Jeremy Swayman will also start in net. Rask will likely be in net for Saturday’s game, and then the final two games will be based on who needs more reps and where the team stands after this weekend, Cassidy said.
Here’s how the Bruins are projected to look:
Lines:
Brad Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Taylor Hall - David Krejci - Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie - Sean Kuraly - Jake DeBrusk
Trent Frederic - Curtis Lazar - Karson Kuhlman
Defensive pairings:
Jeremy Lauzon - Charlie McAvoy
Matt Grzelcyk - Brandon Carlo
Mike Reilly - Connor Clifton
