It is Wednesday, my dudes.
Once again, you have the benefit of knowledge that I do not possess at the time of Morning Skating.
As I type this out, the Canadiens lead the Golden Knights, 1-0, after one period. Did they hold on to win? Only time will tell (me, as you likely already know).
The other game on tap for this evening is Game 5 of the Lightning-Islanders series, and it begs the question: can the Islanders bounce back from getting their teeth absolutely kicked in during Game 4?
Once again, as a bitter Bruins fan, there was something satisfying about watching the Isles get pummeled.
By some advanced metrics, the Islanders were unlucky to allow as many as they did and unlucky to score as few as they did; must be frustrating to not get all the bounces, eh?
Anyways, I’m conflicted as to how I feel about the bounce-back game: these guys are all professional hockey players, so they should be able to put that drubbing out of their minds and focus on the task at hand.
Still, one can’t help but wonder if a blowout of those proportions will hang over the Islanders’ heads, even if it’s just a little.
If the Islanders win, we’re all forced to deal with at least one more game of thrilling Islanders hockey; if they lose, Tampa is going to another Cup Final.
Choose your unpalatable fate.
Today’s discussion topic
Taylor Hall being in Nantucket made me think of Massachusetts vacations.
If you are NOT from Massachusetts, have you visited, and what were your thoughts?
If you ARE from Massachusetts, what is your favorite pizza place?
