The Boston Bruins are set for Game 4 of the second round tonight against the New York Islanders and will be without Brandon Carlo on the blue line.
Bruce Cassidy said Carlo is ruled out for the game. He is still “day-to-day” after taking a hit by Cal Clutterbuck behind the Bruins’ net in Game 3 during the third period.
Jarred Tinordi will slot back into the lineup on the third pairing with Connor Clifton. Jeremy Lauzon will slide up with Mike Reilly. Tinordi has only appeared in one other game this postseason - on May 23 - when he subbed in for Kevan Miller. In the game, Tinordi had four hits and three blocks in 19:02 minutes.
There are no changes to the forwards’ group. Cassidy said Brad Marchand is fine, after it was reported he looked to be limping after morning skate.
Tuukka Rask will start in net.
Here’s how the Bruins are projected to look:
Lines:
Marchand - Patrice Bergeron - David Pastrnak
Taylor Hall - David Krejci - Craig Smith
Nick Ritchie - Charlie Coyle - Jake DeBrusk
Sean Kuraly - Curtis Lazar - Chris Wagner
Defensive pairings:
Matt Grzelcyk - Charlie McAvoy
Reilly - Lauzon
Tinordi - Clifton
Rask gets the start
