Indeed, we could schedule this post next year and probably win it. The other forwards nominated aree Aleksander Barkov from Florida, and Mark Stone from Vegas.
As for who would win it? It's super tough to say. Barkov finally got some recognition in Quenneville's system for all the work he's been doing in Miami-Dade County, and Mark Stone has been great for a long time, but the Selke voters have long held a bias for Centers that have robbed him more than once. Its a great field! No Nichushkin, but still, creditable group.
And once again, if Bergeron does win this one, he will be the sole holder of the most Selke trophies in NHL history, with 5. But that's only if he wins it.
Good luck to all three, but mostly to Patrice! Make history!
