Ah, there’s the big USHL guy. I knew Don couldn’t stay away for too long. I’m onto you, Donny.
The Bruins have selected Philip Svedebäck with their 4th round pick, a goalie out of the Vaxjo Lakers system, who will be playing for the Dubuque Fighting Saints next year after being drafted 50th in the USHL draft this year. Outside of that, there’s little to tell beyond that he’d gone from the HC Wings system to Vaxjo, and will now be in the relative backyard so that the team can keep an eye on him. He catches lefty, and he’s 6’3.
We have also entered the “trust us.” portion of the draft, as unfortunately we could dig up relatively little highlight information on Svedebäck, even from around the league itself or in Vaxjo.
