Good Thursday morning, folks. You’re almost there.
It’s going to be extremely hot in Boston today, so stay cool. Don’t forget to hydrate.
The talk of the Hockey Internet was the trailer for Amazon’s new series based on that legendary franchise that never lets its fans down and always succeeds: the Toronto Maple Leafs!
In case you haven’t seen it yet:
Yes, yes, this should be interesting.
You have to give Amazon some credit: they managed to dramatize the trailer even though we all know how the season ended!
Given that ending, maybe the show should be marketed as a comedy.
Still, it’ll be interesting to see what things are like behind the scenes for a team like the Leafs: a young group playing in a pressure cooker that never seems to quite be able to get things done.
The other news in Bruins World was Bruce Cassidy confirming in a radio interview in Canada that David Krejci’s departure didn’t blindside the Bruins at all, and that communication was clear throughout.
Nice guy, that Dave.
