Morning Skate: Alternate forms of payment

Friday has arrived, folks — your weekend is in sight.

It’s been one hell of a week for a number of reasons, so let’s hope the weekend brings some good stuff for everyone.

In that vein, let’s talk about something very uncontroversial, something no one could possibly have strong opinions about — Tuukka Rask!

We all know by now that Rask will miss the majority of next season, if he returns at all.

However, unlike fellow nebulous Bruin David Krejci, Rask appears much more willing to do whatever he can to return to the Bruins next season.

I would love to see how that one shakes out on CapFriendly: the classic “TOBL” clause, the “tons of Bud Light” rule.

Obviously it’s nice to see that Rask would still like to play for the Bruins if able, but it remains to be seen 1) if they’ll need/have room for him and 2) if he’ll physically be able to have an impact.

(Side note: I am somewhat surprised that Rask is a Bud Light guy, considering his other public beverage of choice is the Long Drink, which is made with gin and fruit. Gin, fruit, and Bud Light seem like a bad mix for the next morning, but...)
