Happy Friday, folks.

I wrote half of yesterday’s Morning Skate thinking that it was Friday. Good stuff. I think I’m on target today though.

Development Camp wraps up today for the Bruins, with the last on-ice session coming this morning.

It seems like it’s been a good camp for a few guys, including Brady Lyle and Trevor Kuntar.

After this, the calendar is kind of wide open for the B’s. There’s not a ton on the docket until training camp kicks off in September.

You know what that means: plenty of time to argue on the Internet!

The hottest button topics will be the Bruins’ defense pairs and who will play second-line center.

On Thursday, Bruce Cassidy mentioned that he expects Charlie Coyle to be his 2C this season, which is probably the most logical solution.

Some will want to see Jack Studnicka in the role, but you could make an argument that it’d be quite a tough spot to put the kid in...though you could also argue that you’ll never know unless you try.

Ultimately, Coyle is probably your best shot at making the second line as good as it was (at times) last year.

That leaves a bit of a hole on the third line, but the B’s should be able to fill the space with some of the guys they acquired when free agency opened.

So, for the next several weeks...argue about lines two through four!

Today’s discussion topic

Do you see Studnicka playing a bigger role this season, or is he still destined for AHL duty?
