Morning Skate: Sloppy

Whatever, it’s preseason.

It is Wednesday, my dudes.

The Bruins were in action for their second game of the preseason last night, falling 3-2 to the New York Rangers in Manhattan.

Jack Studnicka and Urho Vaakanainen scored the goals for the B’s, while future Hall-of-Famer Fabian Lysell recorded an assist.

Overall, it was a pretty sloppy effort from the Bruins — silly penalties, missed connections, etc.

Meanwhile, Artemi Panarin looked in midseason form for the Rangers, recording a goal and two assists.

Ultimately, it was your standard preseason game: some guys looked good, some guys looked bad, preseason keeps spinnin’.

The Bruins will be back at it at home tomorrow night, playing host to the Philadelphia Flyers, and guess what: the game’s on TNT! Catch the new channel fever!

It’ll be interesting to see if the Bruins ice a more NHL-heavy lineup in this one, given that after this game, we’ll be halfway through the preseason.

We’ll see!

What’s on tap for today?
