Happy Tuesday, folks.
If you’re reading this in the States, hopefully you had yourself a decent Labor Day Weekend.
We may have reached the unofficial end of summer, but I’m not ready to let go just yet.
If you’re not in the States, well...hopefully you had a decent Monday.
(UPDATE: This uninformed American found out that you fine folks in Canada have Labour Day too. You are now included in the "decent long weekend" hopes.)
In case you missed it from the weekend, we found out on Friday that the Bruins will, in fact, be playing in a prospects tournament this year, beginning a week from Friday in Buffalo.
You know what that means: if you’re jonesing for a hockey fix, it’s almost here!
No word yet on who, exactly, will be playing for the B’s at the tournament, but hopefully we hear this week.
In other NHL news, the Montreal Canadiens declined to match the offer sheet signed by Jesperi Kotkaniemi, instead choosing to take the draft picks and say goodbye to the Finn.
A read a statement from Don Waddell where he said that the offer sheet wasn’t about revenge, it was about signing the player.
Come on, Don. Embrace the troll role.
Today’s discussion topic
Aside from (maybe) Fabian Lysell, any particular rookie (league wide) you’re looking forward to seeing this season?
