Happy Friday, folks!

You made it to the last day of the work week. Here’s to hoping for a good finish.

The Bruins didn’t exactly send you flying into the weekend with good vibes, falling flat against a Dahlin-less (Dahlin-free?) Buffalo Sabres last night.

Compounding the problem was Charlie McAvoy leaving the game a minute into the third period after taking a shoulder/elbow to the face, so...yeah.

Not a great Thursday!

On the lighter side of things Thursday, Tuukka Rask (remember him?!) tended goal for the B’s on Thursday morning, filling in for the sick Jeremy Swayman.

There were rumors of Rask potentially serving as the emergency back-up goaltender (or EBUG) Thursday night, but the B’s ended up preventing us from a magical reunion by recalling Brandon Bussi on an emergency basis.

The extent of Swayman’s illness and McAvoy’s injuries will likely become clearer today, with a matinée against the Arizona Coyotes on tap for tomorrow.

Bussi will likely remain with the team if Swayman’s status is questionable, but it doesn’t hurt to have a Hall-of-Fame goalie (argue in the comments) on speed dial as your EBUG.

What’s on tap for today?
