First Period

Sean Kuraly takes a tripping penalty 30 seconds in, and the Leafs capitalize on the power play, with Patrick Marleau tipping Jake Gardiner’s point shot. 1-0, Bad Guys in Blue.

Morgan Rielly chipped the puck over the glass in the defensive zone, and Boston returned the favor with a power play goal of their own - in very similar fashion. Jake DeBrusk with the tip on Torey Krug’s shot from the top of the circles. Tie game: 1-1.

Marleau strikes again, sniping a corner over Rask’s blocker. 2-1, Blue Foliage.

Danton Heinen sniped one back, tying the game at 2.

Patrice Bergeron takes a great bank pass off the end boards from Kevan Miller, collecting and tapping it in from the goal line!

Second Period

Toronto ties it up on a quick wrister from Travis Dermott....

... and takes the lead while shorthanded to go up, 4 to 3, while Marchand can’t corral a puck and plays horrid defense.

Adam McQuaid would bail him out again, but would have to head to the locker room after suffering some sort of injury. Fortunately, he was quick to return to the bench.

Third Period

After matching penalties to Krejci and Hyman, Torey Krug ripped home a one-timer to tie the game at 4 apiece.

Another set of matching minors, after Rick Nash foolishly retaliated on an interference penalty by Tyler Bozak, would set up Jake DeBrusk to unleash. his. SPEED. 5-4, Bruins.

David Pastrnak potted one from in close after a slick feed from behind the net to put Boston up 6-4.

And the empty-netter sealed the deal!!

BRUINS WIN!!!
