Fluto Shinzawa on TwitterBOS agrees to terms with Chris Kelly on four-year, $12M deal and Gregory Campbell on three-year, $4.8M deal. AAVs of $3M and $1.6M.
@TSNBobMcKenzieThey are not done yet, but Chris Kelly and Gregory Campbell are closing in on new multi-year deals with BOS. Both are UFA on July 1. Point is, unless there is some unexpected last-minute hitch in final stages of negotiations, both will be back in BOS next season.
Bob McKenzie. So what do we think the terms of their deals will be?"You have to give them credit. Their organization, their coaching staff, they’re classier than that," Bruins head coach Claude Julien said. "They don’t do that. I don’t think that they’d send messages because they’re eliminated and go after a team and try to take away their chances. I don’t think they’d do that. I trust my knowledge of Lindy and his crew to be pretty accurate."
Claude with some brilliant gamesmanship... painting Lindy into a corner@TSNBobMcKenzie Happy St. Patrick's Day to BOS's Shawn Thornton. Has agreed to terms on a two-year extension worth $1.1M per year. #buysalottaguinness

bruins.nhl.com"There's a difference between addressing Thomas's politics with the appropriate amount of ridicule and comedy, and treating this stuff as newsworthy. It's not. It's a pro athlete spewing the same ideology he has spewed before, during and after the White House snub on his own Facebook page. Not in the dressing room. Not on Boston sports radio. Not on Fox News. On a place you actually have to make an effort to find in order to be outraged by his comments. It becomes news if a sponsor drops him. It becomes news if a teammate — not an anonymous team executive who may or may not have appeared in Jim Carrey movie — tells the Boston Globe that Thomas's politics are hurting the Bruins. It becomes news if the NHL or the Bruins step in and try to muzzle him."
Puck Daddy's excellent piece, Why do we still care what Tim Thomas is complaining about on Facebook?
