Happy Fourth of July!

Good morning and happy fourth of July to everyone out there! 172 American-born players have skated for the Bruins over the years. 4 are hall-of-famers: Frank Brimsek, Brian Leetch, Joe Mullen, and Billy Burch. Brimsek played 9 seasons for the Bruins and won 2 cups with us, while the other three were 1-season wonders.

Last year, the Bruins had 9 Americans play at least one game with the Bruins - Torey Krug, Jimmy Hayes, Frank Vatrano, Zach Trotman, Noel Acciari, Lee Stempniak, John-Michael Liles, Kevan Miller, and Tommy Cross even got into 3 games. The last American goalie to play for the Bruins was Tim Thomas back in 2012.
