Providence exploded for four second period goals to lead Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 5-3 after two periods in game one of the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the AHL Calder Cup Playoffs.

Jordan Caron, Kyle MacKinnon, Jamie Tardif and Carter Camper were the goal scorers for the Providence Bruins. Chris Bourque had two assists in the period to go along with his first period helper.

Two former Hockey East players scored goals for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the second period. Boston College alum Brian Gibbons scored and UNH's Paul Thompson connected on the power play.
