The P-Bruins are coming off a very busy weekend with games all three nights. We got to see Malcom Subban make his season debut Friday night against Portland. He looked steady is his return saving 32 of 36 shots against him in a winning effort. We also got to see Zane McIntyre in between the pipes on Saturday night as he is still settling into his rookie season. He has had a rough start to the year and hoping to get locked in as the season progresses.
We did get to see Frank Vatrano add to his league leading 10 goals on Friday night, where he netted two goals set up beautifully by your very own Max Talbot. Vatrano was held pointless the rest of the weekend with a -2 with 5 shots on net. He still currently sits in second on the team with recent call up Alexander Khokhlachev on top with 13 points ahead of Vatrano's 12.
Beyond Khoklachev and Vatrano's hot starts, there are many P-Bruins holding up their own with great performances so far. One standout has been Seth Griffith. In his five games back from injury, Griffith has two goals with three assists. He has gotten to see some time with Khoklachev on his line which has only made him better in his return. If an injury or two were to come up on the NHL roster, we just may get to see some more Seth Griffith in Boston sooner than later.
Captain Tommy Cross has been performing well since his return from the Boston lineup. He looks to be regaining his from as well as having points in all seven of his games he has played this year in Providence. He called his time up with the parent club a "Great learning experience" and really motivated to get back in the long run.
Providence returns to action Saturday night where they are on the road vs Utica.
